This is one of those online slot games that even receive their own cinematic trailers. 3 years ago, NextGen was a relatively small developer that tried to find its footing in the industry and wanted to promote their creations with moves like this: creating a very weirdly looking trailer with a bunch of questionable animations and models. It looked not good to say the least. It is a big letdown considering the fact that the game itself was pretty good, showcased a lot of decent artwork and sounds, and was a legit great entertainment for an evening or two. It never pretended to be something groundbreaking and out of the loop. It was yet another forgettable but competently made software piece that everyone would eventually just shove in the back of the catalogue.
From the technical point of view nothing was special either. The interface looked lackluster, the mechanics felt outdated, and the cohesion of elements was nowhere to be seen. However, it was still a competent thing with a lot of things going for it. We loved little neat features hidden underneath a very boring repetitive gameplay. We also appreciated the effort of the creators who wanted to add a little bit extra to every single bonus and make it thematic. Everything here is somehow related to magic and Merlin himself.
